Popiglio
The village of Popiglio was an old feud of the Guidi during the year Mille, which have numerous records of the richness of a time. Thanks to its own dominant position in the territory on the border of Lucca, was often the centre of bitter wars between Lucca and Pistoia. Of its past remain even now the towers and remains a medieval castle in architectural structure built, but especially in the church of Santa Maria Assunta, a sacred monuments major in Mountain Pistoiese.
